China:

Effectively immediately, for all visa request, a valid driver license or ID card copy is required. Address on the driver license or ID card must match applicant's application.

China:

Effective immediately - March 11, 2013

As of March 11, 2013 The Chinese consulate in San Francisco will begin enforcing jurisdiction for all visa applicants. The Chinese consulate here in San Francisco will no longer accept visa applications from persons who reside outside of their consular jurisdiction. VISA NETWORK is able to process visas through any Chinese consulate here in the U.S. But the processing time for the visa will vary depending on where the applicant resides here in the U.S. Please visit the China visa requirements page on our website for detailed information.

Please be advised that the China consulate in San Francisco is now randomly choosing visa applications and contacting the host listed on each invitation letter in order to verify the authenticity of the business invitation (F visa) or personal invitation (L visa) letter. China visa applicants should advise their contact in China to list on the invitation letter a phone number where they can be reached 24 hours a day.
